Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Skin Timeline ("the app", "we", "us") — a skin health tracking app published by Hungry Gorilla ("the developer") — handles information when you use it. Skin Timeline is built to respect your privacy: it contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and no user accounts on our servers.
The short version: Skin Timeline does not collect, transmit or sell your personal data. All photos, notes and reminders are stored only on your device. They never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to export them yourself.

1. Information the app handles
Skin Timeline is designed to keep everything on your device. It deliberately handles as little information as possible:
- Photos. You take photos of areas of your skin using the app's guided camera. These photos are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. They are never uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third party.
- Notes & labels. You may add text notes, labels, or tags to your entries. These are also stored only on your device.
- Reminders. If you set check-in reminders, these are scheduled using the standard iOS notification system and stored locally. No reminder data is sent to our servers.
- Exports. You may choose to export a PDF report or share individual photos. When you do, you control exactly where that data goes (for example, to your email, to your Files app, or to your doctor). The app does not initiate any transmission on its own.
Skin Timeline does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, or any account credentials. It contains no advertising identifiers or third-party tracking.
2. How that information is used
The information above is used solely to make the app function on your device — to display your photo timeline, show comparisons, schedule reminders, and generate export reports. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or sold or shared with data brokers.
3. Where data is stored
All photos, notes, and app preferences are stored on your device using standard iOS storage. Hungry Gorilla does not operate accounts or servers that hold your Skin Timeline data. There is no cloud sync. If you delete the app, the data it stored on your device is removed with it.
4. Third parties
Skin Timeline does not integrate advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or cloud services. The only independent party involved is:
- Apple. The app is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect information in accordance with its own privacy policy (for example, basic diagnostic and crash data). Hungry Gorilla receives only aggregate, anonymised crash information from Apple and cannot identify you from it.
5. Subscription & payments
Skin Timeline requires a paid subscription (with a 7-day free trial). All subscription transactions — including trial activation, renewal, and cancellation — are handled entirely by Apple through your App Store account. Hungry Gorilla never receives or stores your payment card details. We receive only a confirmation that you hold an active subscription; we do not receive your name, email, or payment method from Apple.
6. Children
Skin Timeline is a general-audience health tracking tool and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents and guardians should supervise their children's use of the app.
7. Your rights & choices
Because Skin Timeline stores your information only on your device and we hold no personal data about you on our side, you remain in direct control:
- You can delete any individual photo entry or timeline from within the app at any time.
- You can clear all app data by deleting the app from your device.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Since we do not hold personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or erase; for any questions, contact us using the details below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if the app gains new features. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
