Your use of Skin Timeline ("the app") is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (EULA). This page supplements that agreement with information specific to Skin Timeline — in particular, a medical disclaimer and subscription details.
Important: Skin Timeline is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It is a personal tracking tool to help you notice and record changes in your skin. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns.
1. About Skin Timeline
Skin Timeline is a skin health tracking app published by Hungry Gorilla ("we", "us", "the developer"). It lets you photograph areas of your skin, organise those photos into timelines, set check-in reminders, and export reports. All data is stored locally on your device — the app does not transmit your photos or notes anywhere unless you explicitly choose to export or share them.
2. Medical disclaimer
Skin Timeline is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device. The app performs automated image analysis entirely on your device — for example, finding spots in a photo and comparing photos taken at different times. This processing is designed to help you organise and review your own photos. It does not:
- Diagnose, interpret or assess any medical condition
- Provide medical advice, clinical recommendations, or treatment suggestions
- Replace the judgement of a qualified healthcare professional
You should not rely on the app as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you have concerns about your skin, consult a qualified dermatologist or healthcare professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
By using Skin Timeline you acknowledge that any decisions you make about your health are your own responsibility and are not based on advice from the app or its developer.
3. Subscription & billing
Skin Timeline requires a paid subscription to use. Two auto-renewing plans are available:
- Monthly — £0.99 per month
- Annual — £4.99 per year
Both plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and your Apple ID will be charged at the rate shown above.
Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the same rate.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, or through the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. No partial refunds are given for unused time, except where required by law or Apple's policies.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices from time to time. Apple will notify you of any price increase before it takes effect, and you will have the opportunity to confirm or cancel before being charged at the new rate.
All payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account — Hungry Gorilla never receives or stores your payment card details.
4. Your data
All photos, notes, labels and reminders you create in Skin Timeline are stored only on your device. We do not have access to your data and cannot recover it if you delete the app. You are responsible for backing up any data you wish to keep — for example, by exporting a PDF report before deleting the app. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
